Throughout its history, photography has mostly been understood as a medium to reproduce, or document, the world around us. It doesn't have to be so, however. Here is a selection of works in which I experiment with photos to create images that appear abstract. And some are real in the specific sense that bits of reality have been selected and then appear abstract to the viewer. Perhaps reality can be seen as abstract? And perhaps abstract images can be seen as a reality? Now use the arrows and browse left/ right for the six categories and up/down to see the image (which you may enlarge individually).
